Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle
A healthy lifestyle and a clear understanding of their own dietary needs is something that we believe all our children should have access to from Nursery to Year 6.
Breakfast Club
To ensure our children have the best possible start everyday we have opened a Breakfast Club which provides children with a range of healthy cereals, toast, drink and fruit and a series of activities designed to help them focus and prepare for their academy day.
Breakfast Club is accessible from our top entrance, doors open from 8:00am until 8:15am at a cost of £2 per day. Payments should be made via the ParentPay app. Logon details and instruction can be requested from the school office on 01226 722153.
Lunchtimes
All meals are prepared on site by our skilled catering team our menus are designed to provide a healthy balance. Our menus take into account the various needs of our children and include vegetarian options.
As part of our commitment to a healthy lifestyle children are provided with a fresh salad bar and they are encourage to choose a selection of fresh vegetables, condiments and fruit to accompany their meal.

Free School Meals
If you or your partner receives income support (IS), Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA), or benefit support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 your child may be entitled to free school meals. Your child may also be entitled to free school meals if you are receipt of Child Tax Credit (but not entitled to working tax credit) and have an income not exceeding £16,190. Please contact the academy office for help, advice and an application form. More information on free school meals can be found here.
Packed Lunches
Packed lunches are welcome in our academy, please send lunches in a named, sealed, non-breakable container. Please ensure that your child is eating a balanced diet this could include sandwiches, a piece of fruit and a drink. We ask that children only bring one treat item per day (small cake, biscuit or crisps.) Please do not send chocolate, fizzy pop, cans or glass bottles.
