Autumn 1 Week 3

The new year 1's have all settled into their new class really well. They have been learning lots of interesting facts about toys, and designing their own moving toy.

Maths: We have been investigating and writing numbers from 0-10. The children have also been counting a variety of objects and matching the objects to numbers.

Writing: In the children's writing lessons, we have been reading the book 'Paper dolls' by Julia Donaldson. The children have created their own paper dolls, and designed a whole outfit for them. We then took them on an exciting adventure around school and wrote a whole diary entry about our adventure. The children did fantastic sentences with a focus on capital letters and full stops.
